KCHFT (Kent Community Health Foundation Trust) is one of the biggest providers of NHS community healthcare in the country, KCHFT provides wide ranging NHS care for people in the community, in a range of settings including people’s own homes, nursing homes, health clinics, community hospitals, minor injury units, walk-in centre and in mobile units.
KCHFT serves a population of about 1.4 million people and employs 5,500 staff, including community nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians and many other healthcare professionals.

Demelza has childrens hospices in Sittingbourne and Eltham as well as offering community-based services in East Sussex and South West Kent where Demelza provides care for a children who have a life-limiting illness or who have a serious medical condition which can be a very demanding experience for all members of the family, Demelza provides end of life care, bereavement support, short break respite and other specialist care to over 700 families.
